Dried Fruits and Nuts
There is variety of foods available in the international market that is called nuts. Nuts are usually hard-shelled fruits. Some of them are recognized by biologists because they are the great source of nutrition for human and wild life. Nuts are the combination of seed and the fruit. Most of the nut seeds come out of the fruit like chestnuts and hazelnuts. Dried fruits and nuts are very important part of human life. Both of them contains thousands of calories and proteins and are capable of helping people in health problems. Nuts have high quantity of oils contents in them and there are highly cost products. Some oils that come out of nuts are used by humans for cooking purposes. Similarly, nuts are great source of nutrition for animals like squirrels. The most common examples of nuts are Brazil nuts, Chilean hazelnut, corn nut, peanut and pine nut.
There are many benefits of nuts. According to epidemiological studies, those people who consume nuts are less suffered from CHD. Fatty acids present in nuts are responsible for hypolipidermic response. According to research results, nuts have cardio protective effects, but they have a very low GI. One study reveals that, those people who eat nuts live longer than those who do not eat. Nuts have large quantity of essential fatty acids and most of them are of unsaturated fats. They also have Vitamin E and B2 and also proteins are main component of nuts. Nuts are available in pure form as well as in raw form. Raw form nuts are also healthy for humans. It is because during the roasting process 15% of the naturally occurring oils lost from nuts and roasting at high temperature are also responsible for introduction of chemicals in the oils.
