Dried fruits are naturally dry without any water content in it or it is made to be dry with the help of dryers, and these fruits are mostly nutritional valued. Some well known dried fruits are raisins, figs, dates, apricots, apple, papaya etc. They are rich in fiber and vitamin content so when we intake these fruits, it will make the human body to be healthy and active against the diseases. Apple, papaya and the blueberries are antioxidants which make the immune system to resist against the germs and bacteria which may attack.

Yellow /orange fruits can provide better vision and immune system to a body, white/tan/brown fruits will help in maintaining the cholesterol levels, green fruits can help in building up of strong bones and teeth, blue/purple fruits can help in maintaining aging and urinary tract.
The moisture content in the dried fruits is below 20 percent before it is being sent to the market. Sulfur dioxide is also added in order to protect the color change of the fruits. These fruits are widely used in baking industry where they prepare cakes with raisins, plums, black current and many more. It can be used for garnishing many recipes and it gives an extra taste when added. Dry fruits should be protected against the moisture, so it should be tightly packed or kept in a closed container for a long period of preservation.
